School History

  

Lanet secondary school is a government registered mixed day secondary school established in the year 1982. The school is located in Nakuru county 12kms from Nakuru town along Lanet/ Dundori road opposite lanet post offices and lanet police post. The school is established on land donated by the Kenya Defence Forces being also the major sponsors.

The school has also gone great strides by funding from stakeholders like ministry of education through the free secondary education, the Nakuru constituency development fund kitty by developing one of the school laboratories, parents by construction of additional classrooms as well as their continuous contribution in various projects. Teachers in the school do also play a major role in holistic and educational development of students under the stewardship of Principal Mrs. Perez Omondi deputised by Mr. P. Nderitu under its strategic plan.

The school has a general population of 605 student both boys and girls from form 1 to form 4hailing from the local communities and environs. It has three streamsin each class  B,Y being for boys and G being a girls stream.
